Although Dickerson preferred rods like the 8013, 7612, and the like, it was the quicker rods such as the 7613, the 8014, 8014 guide, 8015, 8015 guide, that put him on the map. WebFeb 2, 2012 · I have an original Dickerson 8014 and I like it best with a DT-5. Tapers respond to casting style and mine is fast. Most other folks would likely prefer a WF-6 with it.
