WebJul 25, 2016 · After about 3 weeks of 500mg twice per day, we asked neurosurgeon if OK to stop and he said no problem. Told me to give him 500mg at night for 5 days then ok to stop altogether. That is WAY quicker than anything I've read online, but we did it and didn't have any problems. That was about a month ago and still no seizures. Best wishes! The second day he was completely off of it, he was dizzy, felt weak and most importantly fluorescent lights were really bothering him. To the point he said his vision was as if you were drunk. When we are at home, he has no issues whatsoever.
